Derangements]
Derangements are either a take on creation asset or a gameplay asset.
To take on creation you can either pick a derangement or roll for one - the rolls are as follows:
Roll a D20 for the Derangement
Roll a D4 for the severity - 0 being no Derangement and 4 being a severe derangement
Certain Derangements are not rollable as standard due to their severity and the way they may negatively impact the game.
- Insomnia / Cataplexy
In this derangements most basic state, the character sleeps less than is normal, and sometimes suffers because of it, taking stamina rolls if the night was a bad night for sleep (a D6 roll of 2 or below will give you a bad night, 5 or above will mean you slept like a log), with negatives for issues such as flickering street lights, non-blacked out rooms and such, depending on your GM.
At it's worst, this derangement causes havoc to a persons life - if conditions aren't perfect, no sleep can be obtained at all...
6's are extrodanary successes and even the worst insomniac sleeps like a log with this dice roll.
1 dot in insomnia gives you a negative penalty of 1 on sleep rolls
2 dots in insomnia gives you a negative penalty of 2 on sleep rolls
3 dots in insomnia gives you a negative penalty of 3 on sleep rolls
- Self Harming
It starts with a razor blade across the wrists, the shallow mark and the thin riverlette of blood letting out the pain, but it can quickly become a compulsion, making you self harm to feel normal, and covering you in scars, giving you negitive penalties on atractiveness and serious self esteme issues. You have to struggle each day not to self harm, and some days, you will just give in to it all...
This derangement can cause you to loose partners, loose your self esteme and even loose your life if it goes too far.
Roll a D6 after a bad day/night with what the GM classes is a significant amount of stress - 2 and below you self harm.
6's are extrodanary successes and even the worst Self Harmer resists the will of the blade across the flesh.
1 dot in Self Harming gives you a negative penalty of 1 on self harming and atractiveness rolls
2 dots in Self Harming gives you a negative penalty of 2 on self harming and atractiveness rolls
3 dots in Self Harming gives you a negative penalty of 3 on self harming and atractiveness rolls
When you self harm, roll a D10 and a percentile/D00 or just a D100 - a 10 or below means a perminant scar and a roll of 3 or below means you have sustained something that could be life threatening or have gained the derangement Suicidal, roll a D6 to see (50% either way, 4 and above is life threatening).
